Give Smoke Bomb Photography A Try
Smoke bomb photography is so much fun!
I love using colored smoke bombs during boudoir and regular portrait sessions, and so do my clients. They add a pop of fun color and lead to interesting poses as people wave them around. Matching or complementing the smoke color with an outfit or hair dye can instantly elevate a photo, and sun beams shining through the smoke add drama. If you want something a little different for your photoshoot, just pick up a smoke bomb!
Move With It
You can hold a smoke bomb and move with it as you sweep it around in large movements. This can create interesting action shots full of motion. If you know dance moves or dance poses, doing them with a smoke bomb in hand can create artistic, unique poses not normally seen in regular portrait photography.
Pose Around the Smoke
Smoke bombs can be placed on the ground or held out of sight of the camera while you pose in front of or behind the stream of smoke. This is a good choice if you want the colored smoke without having the actual smoke bomb in the photo.
Use Props
Props like cauldrons or jack-o-lanterns can hold smoke bombs and create interesting character pieces for a themed Halloween photoshoot.
